Again I pack a tool box of materials and tools that allow me to make a material exploration of the site and collect traces of the landscape. As the light fades I work on the shoreline taking prints of the pitted rocks.

I look to capture the fragility of this coastal edge, where geological layers tumble into the sea, the erosion of time. The chalk is of particular interest to me, I consider the line of chalk that traverses East Anglia and gives rise to our chalk stream. Here it disappears into the sea only to rise up again in the white cliffs of northern France.
