With Unbuilt Studio, a public engagement activity for Suffolk Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
Suffolk has a dynamic coastline affected by rising sea levels and increasing intensity of storms. This shoreline is a fragile space with the potential to change on a daily basis.
This intervention drew attention to this fragile edge by mapping the tideline on the beach at three points during the day. Beach visitors dropped into our temporary studio to make coloured felt wrapped pebbles as markers and placed colour tagged willows on the receding tideline.
